A Fourth Case Study
Hopdoddy Burger Bar is an Austin-born fast-casual burger concept that grew rapidly from a single South Congress location in 2010 to 18 restaurants across four states and 1,000+ team members. That fast expansion created operational challenges: the company needed to centralize and automate training, maintain service and food-quality standards across locations, and streamline scheduling and communications without burdening a small training team.
Hopdoddy solved this by using HotSchedules integrated with Aloha (including Above Store Console and Logbook) and the Schoox LMS to deploy Hopdoddy Campus, standardized templates, labor forecasting, mobile training, quizzes, video content and task lists. The integrated tools sped openings, improved consistency and reporting, and delivered measurable results: 18 locations in seven years, 344 messages sent monthly per site, 858 hours of training administered and 940 courses completed.
