Living Spaces, a leading U.S. furniture retailer with 35+ storefronts and a growing e-commerce business, was losing legitimate sales to false declines and cart abandonment because its legacy, rules-based fraud checks (especially address verification) forced many orders into manual review. To solve this, Living Spaces partnered with Forter and its automated fraud decisioning (Forter’s Trust Platform) to replace rule-driven processes and reduce friction for legitimate customers.

Forter implemented a fully automated approach that eliminated manual reviews and false declines, boosting the approval rate from 92% to over 99% and increasing top-line revenue by more than 8%. Chargebacks fell from over 50 bps to below 6 bps, manual review dropped from 17% to 0%, and the customer service team could refocus on support—enabling Living Spaces to expand service nationwide.
