NetPop, a marketing research and strategy consulting firm, needed to help a major tech company understand what goes through app developers’ heads when making purchases. The study was especially challenging because it spanned seven countries, multiple languages, international moderators, and a notoriously busy audience, all under a tight timeline. Forsta supported the project using concept canvas and digital diaries.
Forsta helped NetPop run an online diary study, collect screenshot uploads from developers while they shopped, and tailor questions for different countries, while also advising on timing to avoid holidays. The result was a smoother global research process, richer insights into developers’ emotional and logical decision-making, and a study completed ahead of schedule, helping NetPop impress its client just in time for peak season.
