Proximus powers enterprise search for 12,931 employees with Formica Digital

Proximus, a major telecommunications provider in Belgium, urgently needed to replace its decommissioned Google Search Appliance to maintain a feature-rich search experience across its vital marketing websites. The challenge was to find a flexible and future-proof solution that could deliver filters, suggestions, and synonyms without disrupting the customer experience. The vendor, Formica Digital, implemented a new search solution using Elastic Cloud Enterprise.

Formica Digital built a search API and used web crawling to index all of Proximus's web content, providing instant and accurate search results even during peak traffic. The solution delivered state-of-the-art features including type-ahead suggestions, faceted filtering, and document previews, which improved the digital content experience for customers and gave content editors better tools for managing search relevance.
