Salesloft, a leading sales engagement platform, needed to combine sharded tables from its Citus Data Postgres cluster into AWS Redshift to perform advanced analytics. To avoid building custom replication infrastructure, Salesloft turned to Fivetran and used the Fivetran Postgres connector to replicate each database in the cluster into Redshift.

Fivetran replicated each shard into its own schema, automatically detected and synced new schemas/tables, and enabled Salesloft to recombine shards at query time via UNION-based VIEWs in Redshift. The result was centralized, high-performance analytics without bespoke ETL—reducing engineering overhead, speeding time-to-insight, and simplifying automation with a short Python script and scheduled jobs; Fivetran handled the heavy lifting.
