Fishbowl, a regional full-service restaurant chain, needed to understand who its guests were and how different segments behaved both inside and outside its stores. The client asked which guests visited their locations, what behaviors defined those segments, and what preferences those groups showed beyond POS interactions.
Using Guest Analytics to combine POS, email, survey, and online data with appended demographic and psychographic insights, the team modeled guests into statistically distinct personas—72% of members fell into four core personas. Targeted acquisition and email campaigns based on these personas drove higher open rates overall, with affluent families rising from 18% to 24% and elite nesters from 18% to 29%, and the client now continuously tracks persona data to keep messaging personalized and relevant.
