U.S. Largest Bank, an existing Fiserv client of Popmoney®, needed a ubiquitous, faster person-to-person (P2P) payment offering to keep transactions in‑bank and meet digital-first customer expectations. The bank’s challenge was to replace a slower P2P solution, improve the user experience, and recapture P2P volume migrating to third‑party providers.
Fiserv implemented Turnkey Service for Zelle, connecting the bank to Zelle Network® using existing back‑office infrastructure, and delivered a clean deployment in about four and a half months. After going live, P2P transaction volume nearly tripled, average monthly P2P growth rose to 21% (up from 7%), customers shifted back from nonbank apps to the bank’s platform, and users praised the faster, simpler experience.
