SunTrust Bank, recognizing the need to serve digitally focused customers, partnered with Fiserv to offer Turnkey Service for Zelle as its P2P payments solution. As an early adopter, SunTrust faced the challenge of quickly launching a secure, consumer-friendly service that would attract and retain customers while minimizing operational complexity.
Fiserv provided the Turnkey Service for Zelle with prebuilt, brand-compliant web and mobile interfaces, settlement and reporting, fraud controls and customer care, and helped SunTrust execute a multifaceted marketing campaign. The result was rapid adoption and strong engagement—monthly Zelle transactions per user rose from under 1.5 to almost 2.5, user and transaction volumes showed significant lift versus the Popmoney baseline, and SunTrust achieved a faster, lower‑risk market launch with Fiserv’s infrastructure and support.
