South Carolina Federal Credit Union Selects SecureNow to Provide Frictionless, Secure Online Banking Experience

South Carolina Federal Credit Union, a member-owned cooperative serving more than 155,000 members with $1.7 billion in assets, found that its stringent online banking controls created significant friction and high contact-center volume. To simplify the member experience without sacrificing security, South Carolina Federal turned to Fiserv and became one of the first clients to deploy SecureNow, including SecureNow: Login Defense and SecureNow: Behavior Analytics.

Fiserv implemented the SecureNow platform to move security from front-end barriers to behind-the-scenes, real-time monitoring and behavior analytics, integrating best-of-breed controls to maintain layered protection. The change cut the challenge rate from 28% to below 10% (an 18 percentage-point reduction), delivered a simpler login experience with minimal implementation effort, and is expected to reduce related contact-center calls while preserving robust fraud defenses.
