Nium, a Singapore‑headquartered global payments and card‑issuing platform, faced a hypergrowth challenge in 2019: it needed a proven partner to provide core processing for a white‑labeled Visa card solution and the technology to scale quickly across varying regulatory regimes. Nium selected Fiserv and its VisionPLUS platform to meet the demand for resilience, scalability and rapid market entry.
Fiserv implemented VisionPLUS to power Nium’s rules‑based engine, adding multicurrency logic, limit management, authentication balances and open‑API integration so Nium could launch products quickly. The Fiserv solution enabled Nium to enter the multicurrency prepaid card market in under six months, grow to more than 1.7M card accounts in less than two years, scale across 35 countries and process hundreds of thousands of transactions per month, while allowing Nium to focus on business development.
