Medisys Employees Federal Credit Union Elevates Member Service With Simplified Lending

Medisys Employees Federal Credit Union, a two-branch credit union serving Medisys Health Network employees in Jamaica, Queens, needed a modern, easy-to-use digital lending solution to serve members who preferred remote options and to reduce manual maintenance burdens on a small staff of six. With its legacy loan origination system showing signs of failure and limited internal resources for implementation and upkeep, Medisys turned to Fiserv for a cloud-based lending platform.

Fiserv implemented Loancierge for Credit Unions, a SaaS loan origination system that integrated with Medisys’s Fiserv core, eliminated hardware/software maintenance, and provided guided workflows and automated data gathering. Fiserv’s implementation and training support helped staff get up to speed quickly (one new hire was processing loans within two weeks), and Medisys saw average monthly loans increase from 71 to 126 — more than 77% growth — enabling the six-person team to complete more loans in less time.
