Wayne Bank, a community bank with 27 branches and over $1.2 billion in assets, faced end-of-life network equipment, slow internet and frequent service interruptions—especially at rural locations—which caused timeouts and frustrated staff and customers. After a two-year vendor review the bank selected Fiserv and its Sentry managed services to modernize networking and security while meeting regulatory reporting, high-availability and cloud/VoIP requirements.
Fiserv implemented Sentry’s fully managed, meshed DMVPN WAN with integrated security and single-point management, improving reporting and adding redundancy. The upgrade reduced network downtime from four hours to five minutes, cut patch update time from 36 hours to two hours, enabled automatic scans and perimeter reporting, and improved application performance—positioning Wayne Bank to adopt Teller Source Capture and other high-bandwidth cloud, voice and video services.
