Cardtronics, a global leader operating more than 41,000 ATMs and serving banks, retailers and financial institutions, faced the challenge of accurately forecasting cash needs and monitoring uptime across a diverse, rapidly growing network with limited reporting capabilities. To address this, Cardtronics engaged Fiserv and deployed Fiserv’s Integrated Currency Manager (for cash forecasting and reporting) and later Device Manager (for device monitoring, dispatching and service-provider management).

Fiserv’s Integrated Currency Manager and Device Manager automated forecasting, replenishment scheduling, fault detection and vendor escalations while providing scalable, web-based reporting and client transparency. The solutions now support more than 24,000 ATMs on Integrated Currency Manager, helped reduce cost per transaction by 19% and cost per unit by 14%, and Device Manager delivered a 26% improvement in availability for monitored ATMs — improving service levels, lowering costs and enabling faster, data-driven operations.
