Architect from Fiserv Streamlines a Complex Merger and Reduces Costs

Premier Members Credit Union, formed in 2015 from the merger of Boulder Valley Credit Union and Premier Members Federal Credit Union, serves 65,000 members with $950 million in assets. Faced with different back-end processes, the new credit union needed to preserve existing bill-pay functionality for 20,000 members while converting 15,000 new members to a single platform on an accelerated timeline with minimal resources and cost. Fiserv’s Architect digital banking solution (already used by Boulder Valley) was selected to address this challenge.

Fiserv implemented Architect and Architect: SDK to integrate multiple third-party systems, preserve existing bill-pay logic, enable member segmentation and custom modules via APIs, and complete the conversion in under five months. The move delivered a 360-degree online view for members, enhanced digital experiences for 15,000 members, eliminated duplicate systems and is expected to save $100,000 in operating costs plus another $100,000 by removing per-project customization expenses—all achieved through Fiserv’s Architect solution.
