ACLEDA Bank Plc., Cambodia’s leading commercial bank, wanted to attract a new segment of customers—including people who had never interacted with the ACLEDA brand—and build on its April 2010 deployment of mobile banking from Fiserv. To reach the country’s mass-market and unbanked consumers, ACLEDA expanded its digital channel strategy and sought a broader mobile financial services platform.

Fiserv implemented Mobiliti Reach™ to deliver universal mobile financial services, including the ACLEDA Unity mobile wallet, person-to-person (P2P) payments with a branded Unity network, cashless ATM withdrawals, bill presentment and payment, offline cash-in/cash-out via formal and informal networks, alerts, and enrollment tools. The Fiserv solution enabled complete banking functionality on mobile, brought previously unbanked consumers into the financial system, and supported large-scale account enrollment and cashless transactions across Cambodia’s mass market.
