A Northeastern U.S. Bank Critical Situation Puts Business Continuity to the Test

Northeastern U.S. Bank faced a critical outage when a misapplied Windows script rendered about 20 servers and workstations inoperable and its on‑site satellite vault appliance was also corrupted. The bank turned to Fiserv, leveraging Data Vaulting with a satellite vault appliance and Fiserv’s Hosted Recovery Services, to preserve business continuity and recover critical systems.

Fiserv emergency support rebuilt the satellite vault, restored programs and data, and worked with the bank to perform LAN‑speed restores of nearly 20 servers and workstations over the weekend; Fiserv also staged a disaster‑recovery environment and reinstated backup jobs and monitoring. As a result, all servers were back online before the start of business on Monday, customers experienced no service disruption, and the bank regained full operational capability thanks to Fiserv.
