Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue (CKFR) faced significant challenges when responding to calls at age care facilities. These included the immense manpower required to evacuate residents during a catastrophic event and the common scenario where facility staff were unaware a 911 call had been placed by a resident, leading to delays upon the crew's arrival. First Due provided a solution through its Community Connect service to address these operational issues.

First Due’s Community Connect platform enabled facility staff to be integrated into the response workflow by automatically notifying them via text when a 911 call was placed. This allowed staff to prepare for the crew's arrival by clearing a path, securing an elevator, and providing immediate access. This solution dramatically reduced response times for Central Kitsap Fire & Rescue, resulting in record levels of assistance from facility staff and ensuring the swift, safe transport of residents in distress.
