Stripe runs a 3-day design sprint with Figma

Stripe, a financial technology company, faced the challenge of running a multi-day, remote design sprint for its Stripe Radar product. The shift to remote work had made their previous in-person process, which relied on Google Slides and a physical whiteboard, obsolete. They needed a flexible and accessible digital workspace to facilitate the cross-functional sprint, which led them to the vendor Figma and its online whiteboard tool, FigJam.

Using Figma's FigJam, the Stripe team structured a three-day remote sprint. The solution included using icebreakers to onboard participants, dedicated sections for timed brainstorming with prompts, and a shared space to capture resources. By the end of the sprint, the team had synthesized their discussions into a rough customer journey and then moved into Figma to create wireframe mocks. The result was a tangible set of mockups for new feature concepts, successfully turning their ideas into actionable designs and creating a forum for all cross-functional partners to collaborate effectively.
