Vanquis Bank, a UK lender serving people with limited or no credit history (about 1.7 million customers and a 3–4 million person target market), needed to replace an aging, single-function customer acquisition system that was slow and hard to change, limiting product agility and growth.

Vanquis implemented FICO Origination Manager Cloud Edition, which enabled rapid development (a proof of concept was built in two weeks), removed the burden of patches and upgrades, and provided a flexible, multifunction decision engine. The result is faster product launches, improved loan and credit-card acquisitions, the ability to expand into new credit types (such as car finance), and a collaborative partnership with FICO.
