The customer, Samsung, faced a significant challenge at its Austin, Texas facility. The project required installing over two miles of bus duct and constructing a new building for power distribution, all while the live facility remained fully operational. This created immense complexity, as the work had to be carefully navigated around active sprinkler lines, gas lines, and other electrical systems. Facility Solutions Group (FSG) was brought in to provide design-assist and electrical construction services to overcome these obstacles.

Facility Solutions Group implemented an agile, design-build approach to navigate the congested site, working seven days a week to maintain progress. FSG completed the massive project in over 160,000 man-hours, utilizing a peak workforce of 250 electricians. This dedicated effort resulted in the project being finished an entire month ahead of schedule, successfully powering the new equipment without disrupting the facility's critical operations.
