A Facebook Case Study
Wargaming, the award-winning game publisher behind titles like World of Tanks and World of Warships, wanted to build awareness for World of Tanks among a broad male audience in Germany. Working with Facebook and its reach and frequency tool, the company aimed to run a highly targeted digital brand campaign that would reach the right viewers more efficiently than TV or other online channels.
Facebook helped Wargaming combine demographic targeting with planned reach and frequency buying to control delivery of its video ads across News Feed. The campaign delivered strong results: 89% on-target reach, 71% greater efficiency in reaching males aged 21–54 than YouTube and Twitch, and 66% of total audience share reached on Facebook despite Facebook accounting for only 45% of impressions.
