Viherpeukalot is a Finnish family-owned gardening retailer that began as a mail-order business in 1990 and launched one of Finland’s first online stores in 1997. Facing the peak spring planting season, the company wanted to boost online conversions from the large volume of website visitors driven by its catalogue and tested Facebook remarketing to grow online sales.

Viherpeukalot ran dynamic Facebook remarketing ads showing products visitors had viewed across News Feed and the right column, used strong creative and CTAs, A/B tested visuals and offers, and optimized bids daily to increase basket value. Between March–May 2015 the campaign delivered outstanding results: a 200x return on ad investment, 26% growth in unique purchase volume and a 29% increase in average order size.
