TYME, a Bellevue, Iowa–based maker of a bestselling curling-and-straightening iron invented by CEO Jacynda Smith, set out to introduce its styling tool to European customers and learn how best to expand into new international markets.
TYME ran a two-stage Facebook campaign—an awareness Canvas targeted to broad English-speaking and lookalike audiences, followed by an educational retargeting Canvas and supporting video ads—optimized for conversions. The approach delivered a 1.6X ROAS for the awareness Canvas, 2.9X ROAS for the mid-funnel educational Canvas, a 52% drop in cost per acquisition, and enabled TYME to duplicate the strategy in new markets and grow the business to roughly 40 employees.
