Space Ape Games - Customer Case Study

Space Ape Games, a London-based mobile studio founded in 2012 with over 30 million players across titles like Transformers: Earth Wars, faced the challenge of launching a new IP to as wide an audience as possible while lowering acquisition costs and boosting retention and monetisation.

They ran a two-phase Facebook-led campaign with partners Hasbro and Backflip Studios: phase one tested markets, segments and creative (finding video performed best), and phase two scaled globally using Lookalike Audiences across Facebook, Instagram and the Audience Network. The campaign doubled click-to-install rates, cut cost-per-install by 50% and doubled players’ lifetime value.
