A Facebook Case Study
Cungmua.com, one of Vietnam’s largest daily-deals sites with 100+ new offers a day across categories like fashion, travel and food, wanted to strengthen loyalty among existing customers and boost sales by 50%. The challenge was to re-engage users who had shown interest but not purchased and remind loyal customers about new deals in a fast-moving product environment.
Cungmua used Facebook Custom Audiences to segment users by recency and loyalty, the Facebook pixel to track the purchase journey, and dynamic carousel ads to retarget people who clicked or abandoned carts with relevant rewards and CTAs. Over a three-month campaign (Mar–Jun 2016) this approach drove a 68% increase in sales (18% above target), a 60% higher click-through rate for dynamic ads vs. link ads, and a 38% lower conversion cost.
