LG Electronics promoted the G5, the world’s first modular smartphone, and needed to raise awareness and consumer preference ahead of its launch while clearly communicating the phone’s modular “Friends” accessories and features like its 135° wide-angle lens.

They used Facebook Canvas—combining a top-of-screen commercial with images, tilt-to-pan panoramic demos and interactive “Slide”/“Drag” elements—to showcase the G5’s capabilities; the campaign drove a 26% lift in click-through rate, 12% higher ad recall, 8% increase in product awareness and a 6% increase in product preference versus previous link ads.
