A Facebook Case Study
Flavors of My City is an e-tailer of traditional Indian sweets, savories and snacks that sources products from over 100 cities to help local shops sell beyond their neighborhoods. The company’s goal was to scale online sales quarter-on-quarter and acquire more customers by expanding its Facebook marketing beyond a simple Page.
It gradually increased investment in Facebook tools—adding photo and carousel ads, installing the Facebook pixel to track behaviour, building lookalike and custom audiences, and using dynamic ads to retarget visitors—while running seasonal initiatives like #flavorsforheroes. From Sept 2016–May 2017 this approach delivered a 9X increase in orders, 3X return on ad spend and 7X revenue growth year-over-year.
