Running a product sampling campaign with Facebook lead ads

Philosophy, a skincare and beauty brand, wanted a more seamless way to get product samples to potential customers to boost sales and lower sampling lead costs. Working with ecommerce partner Feelunique, they aimed to increase product awareness and convert trial into purchase through targeted digital promotion.

They ran a two‑phase Facebook campaign — Phase 1 used lead ads to collect sample requests (auto‑filled with Facebook profile data) and Phase 2 used link ads to retarget samplers and drive purchases on Feelunique’s site, while SoPost handled fulfilment and CRM integration. The turnkey approach generated over 9,000 leads, achieved a £1.11 cost per lead and delivered more than 3X return on ad spend.
