Read Dog Books is a monthly curated book-subscription service founded by Kate Cygan and Michael Wray that delivers personalized books and bookish goodies. The company’s challenge was to grow its base of monthly subscribers and capture high-quality leads it could retarget to drive sign-ups.

Read Dog Books ran tested link and short unboxing video ads on Facebook and Instagram, used the Facebook pixel and CRM-based Custom Audiences to retarget users, built lookalikes, applied core targeting (US women 18–65), and used automated bidding optimized for conversions. The campaign produced a 2.5X increase in monthly subscribers, 7X return on ad spend, a 75% drop in cost per conversion, 3X more email leads and a 75% lower cost per lead.
