A Facebook Case Study
Aarong, a leading Bangladeshi lifestyle retailer and social enterprise of BRAC with 18 outlets and over 100 product lines, needed to drive new customers and online conversions during the important Eid festival. The challenge was to grow its e‑commerce performance and awareness while staying true to its mission of supporting rural artisans.
Aarong ran a mobile‑first, storytelling campaign using Facebook solutions—Canvas, Facebook Live, video formats (cinemagraphs, boomerangs), carousel and collection ads, dynamic retargeting, Custom Audiences and the Facebook pixel—highlighting artisans and Eid collections. The campaign boosted results substantially: 22% more online purchases (vs. Eid 2016), a 3X increase in new online customers, 69% more website traffic and 12 million people reached.
