Allison Park Store is a century-old general store in Kenosee Lake, Saskatchewan, owned by three generations of the Allison family. Facing a seasonal influx of vacationers and limited reach from local print ads, the store needed a more targeted, cost-effective way to raise awareness among out-of-town visitors and drive summer sales.

By using a Facebook Page, Promoted Posts and Page Insights to target friends of fans, nearby residents and vacationers from Alberta, Manitoba and the Dakotas—and by sharing nostalgic and local photos to build community—the store boosted visibility and engagement. The campaign delivered a 20% increase in in-store sales over the four-month summer of 2013, averaged 13% engagement per post, and gained over 1,500 fans in three months.
