PredictIt, a real‑money political prediction market launched by Victoria University in 2014, needed to grow its trader base by increasing signups and wager deposits so market prices would be more accurate. The challenge was to attract and retain politically engaged users who would actively trade on current events.

Working with Rossert Digital Marketing and using Facebook Ads, PredictIt ran real‑time, news‑driven creatives, targeted core audiences (men 23+, urban, interested in finance and politics), and used the Facebook pixel to retarget signups/depositors and build lookalike audiences. In three months this approach drove a 5X lift in daily new users, cut cost per acquisition by 50%, tripled conversion rates and increased user lifetime value 2.5X.
