Oslo Municipality Bymiljøetaten, the city agency that manages parks, squares and outdoor facilities, launched the #OpplevOslo campaign to encourage residents to get out and explore Oslo’s green spaces. The challenge was to raise broad awareness and drive video engagement on social channels more effectively and at lower cost than previous Page post engagement campaigns.
By switching to brand awareness and video-view objectives and running video and photo ads across Facebook and Instagram, Bymiljøetaten massively expanded reach and engagement. The two-week summer campaign delivered 1.3 million video views, cut CPM by 25% and reduced cost per view by 97%, while boosting overall engagement and quality of comments.
