Open Colleges, Australia’s leading online learning provider (700,000+ students, 150+ courses), needed to enrol more students by boosting mobile and desktop traffic and increasing enquiry form completions. The organisation also faced a key challenge: proving how Facebook ads contributed to offline enrolments that were completed by its Student Recruitment Call Centre.

They ran Facebook News Feed link ads using lookalike audiences, added a conversion pixel and used Facebook’s conversion lift tests to measure incremental online enquiries and offline course enrolments, then optimised based on the results. The campaign delivered a 95% lift in website enquiry conversion rate, a 12% lift in offline sales, a 2.4× return on ad spend and a 23% lower cost per acquisition.
