Air France, the French flag carrier founded in 1933, wanted to drive more traffic and increase online ticket sales by converting website visitors who had searched for flights but left without booking. The challenge was to re-engage these interested travelers at scale with relevant, timely offers.

Working with a Facebook Marketing Partner, Air France implemented a Facebook pixel and used dynamic ads for travel plus Custom Audiences to retarget visitors (segmented by 0–2 and 3–30 day windows) with destination images, date‑specific pricing and a “Book Now” CTA across 15 markets. The campaign delivered a 57% lower cost per booking, a 12× increase in conversion rate, an 11× lift in return on ad spend and reached 2 million people, prompting global scale‑up.
