Menguin Tuxedos is an online tux rental company founded in 2013 that outfits thousands of weddings monthly and counts investors like Mark Cuban among its backers. Facing the challenge of finding new tux renters, Menguin aimed to drive account and event sign-ups and grow paid conversions by identifying the right audiences and creative to reach people who need formalwear.
Partnering with agency Social Fulcrum, Menguin ran Facebook News Feed campaigns using the Facebook pixel, Custom and Lookalike Audiences, behavior targeting, and extensive creative A/B testing (including gender-targeted imagery and sign‑up CTAs), ultimately optimizing for conversions. The campaign delivered over 11,000 new accounts in five months, a 77% drop in cost per event action, a 50% reduction in cost per lead, and an 11% decrease in cost per account creation.
