Lotte, the Korean retailer with brick-and-mortar stores in Vietnam, launched its ecommerce site in 2016 and sought to boost sales of a Korean cosmetics collection while building mobile commerce familiarity, driving app installs, and moving toward a top‑2 app ranking in Vietnam.
Lotte repurposed TV spots into short, mobile‑optimised videos using four simple motion-focused creative approaches (basic motion, brand, benefit, and demo), then ran a three‑week Facebook and Audience Network campaign targeting Vietnamese women 18–44. Paired with photo ads, the videos delivered a 49% higher conversion rate, 16% higher return on ad spend and 15% lower cost per purchase.
