A Facebook Case Study
United Breweries, maker of Kingfisher, launched Kingfisher Buzz — a flavoured malt drink aimed at young urbanites — and needed to introduce the brand where its audience spends time: mobile. The challenge was to reach a specific 21–34 youth segment in Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune and Goa and build awareness and message association quickly online.
Working with agencies, the team ran a mobile-first Facebook campaign using short-form video, carousel, photo and slideshow ads with bandwidth targeting and reach-and-frequency buying to control exposure. A Facebook brand lift study showed the campaign delivered a 16% lift in ad recall, an 11% lift in brand awareness and a 5% lift in message association among men.
