Standard Bank South Africa’s direct life insurance arm (SBDLIS) needed to generate more affordable, high-quality leads to feed its sales team. Finding new customers was becoming expensive, and the bank wanted a quicker, simpler online enquiry process to increase conversions.
Working with Omnicom Media Group, SBDLIS deployed Facebook Lead Ads integrated directly with its CRM so pre-filled forms could be routed to sales agents within minutes. The campaign (July–November 2016) delivered an 81% rise in qualified leads in the first three months, a 30% increase in Facebook-driven sales, a 70% lower cost per lead versus other paid channels, and a 16% reduction in overall cost per lead.
