A Facebook Case Study
IDNtimes is an Indonesian multi-platform news and entertainment portal targeting affluent millennials and Gen Z (16–35). Facing the challenge of growing its website reach and visibility with share-worthy content, the publisher also wanted better insight into what resonated with its young audience.
IDNtimes ran a targeted Facebook campaign using short videos, carousel and link ads, Custom and Lookalike Audiences, the Facebook pixel, Instant Articles and reach-and-frequency buying to show content repeatedly across Facebook and the Audience Network. The approach grew readership from about 1 million to over 13 million, delivered a 10X reach increase over 12 months (5X in the 3-month campaign), and produced 8 million monthly content shares and a 36 million monthly social media unique audience.
