Iberia Airlines, one of the world’s largest carriers, needed a standout holiday campaign to reconnect families at Christmas and raise brand awareness—especially in international markets where recognition was low. The challenge was to engage a mobile, global audience during the busy festive travel period and boost recall among new and younger customers.
Iberia ran an emotional Facebook video ad—showing Santa giving gifts aboard a flight—targeted to mobile users across key countries. The campaign reached 46 million people and peak views hit 4 million, delivering a 9‑point increase in ad recall in Spain and the US and a 6‑point lift in brand awareness in Italy, with particularly strong gains among 18–24 year‑olds.
