A Facebook Case Study
GO-JEK, Indonesia’s largest on-demand service app with over 200,000 drivers and thousands of partner merchants, needed to build city-wide awareness and drive high-quality, low-cost app downloads. The challenge was to reach the right smartphone users across Indonesian cities and convert them into active app users at scale.
GO-JEK ran mobile-optimized campaigns on Facebook and the Audience Network using carousel ads, the Facebook SDK for conversion tracking, and layered targeting (demographics, city, Android/iOS, Custom and Lookalike Audiences). Over 18 months the approach reached 61 million Indonesians (about 69% of Facebook users in the country), drove 22 million installs to date at a $0.48 cost per install—well below the industry average.
