A Facebook Case Study
FunShare, founded in 2010, is a Hong Kong group-buying site that offers daily deals at deep discounts. To grow its business it needed to build the largest local audience possible, create a community of shoppers familiar with its brand, and convert those followers into paying customers who would share deals with friends.
FunShare used a Facebook Page with partner-tabs plus “always-on” Ads in News Feed to reach targeted shoppers, attract likes, and promote its latest offers, while using regular posts and questions to boost engagement. The approach made Facebook a core channel: 25% of FunShare’s revenue is directly attributable to Facebook, 11% of site traffic comes from the platform, and an average of 484,000 unique Facebook users saw Page content daily.
