Flyrobe - Customer Case Study

Flyrobe is an Indian fashion rental startup that launched in late 2015 offering short-term rentals of western and ethnic wear via its app. Faced with the dual challenge of educating the market about its novel service and lowering customer acquisition costs, Flyrobe needed to find and convert the right renter audiences quickly.

Flyrobe used Instagram to recruit designers and then ran Facebook and Instagram campaigns featuring carousel ads and testimonials, interest-based targeting (including fashion and tech fans and influencer followers), Custom Audiences retargeting by website behavior, and mobile app ads with offers. Over a two-month campaign (June–August 2016) this approach cut cost per acquisition 8X with dynamic ads and 2X with Custom Audiences while raising awareness and driving app conversions.
