Flyboy Wakesurfing, founded by Jeff Walker and his son James in Acampo, CA, builds lightweight, competition-level wakesurf boards. Their challenge was reaching a small, dispersed market of buyers who don’t attend contests and driving online sales after finding search ads costly and ineffective.

They shifted to Facebook as their primary channel—daily Page updates, a wakesurfing blog, and authentic unedited video clips turned into Boosted Posts linking directly to the online store. Between April–December 2013 they achieved a 30X return on ad spend, attracted 3,000–4,000 blog readers, generated steady national customer demand and frequently sold out limited inventory.
