Florida’s Space Coast (Cocoa Beach) is a scenic tourism hub on Florida’s Space Coast known for rocket launches, surfing culture and proximity to Orlando and major cruise ports. The Florida’s Space Coast Office of Tourism sought to raise awareness of the destination and drive visitation by complementing its cable TV buy with more targeted social advertising.
They used Facebook and Instagram video and carousel ads, installed a Facebook pixel to build Website Custom Audiences and Lookalikes, applied demographic and market-area targeting, and used reach & frequency controls and automatic bidding to optimize impressions. The campaign delivered an 86% higher incremental reach versus TV, a 7‑point lift in ad recall, 13.4 million video views (60% average completion), a 12% year‑on‑year rise in tourism tax revenue, a 34× increase in unique daily website visitors and an 88% lower cost per conversion.
