Fjordland, a Norwegian food brand founded in 1994 by cooperative TINE, makes easy-to-make dinners and desserts. For its Christmas campaign the company aimed to maximize quiz entries and website visitors to drive in-store sales, but previous mixes of TV and banner ads were costly and less efficient.
For Christmas 2015 Fjordland ran a Facebook-only campaign—video, photo and link ads starring a pair of Christmas elves, regularly refreshed creative and precise targeting including Custom Audiences—to drive traffic to its quiz site. The campaign doubled website traffic, cut cost-per-click by 90% and delivered a 14% year‑on‑year sales uplift while using just one-third of the prior budget.
