Extending campaign impact with Facebook’s reach and frequency buying

Strongbow, the world’s leading cider and the top cider in Czech shops, aimed to strengthen its "Nature to the city" positioning in the Czech Republic. When a national ban on smoking in public places took effect on May 31, 2017, the brand seized the moment to engage 18–40-year-olds and reinforce its message.

Strongbow turned discarded ashtrays into planters and ran a mixed digital and print campaign anchored by Facebook video ads optimized for News Feed, using reach and frequency buying to reserve delivery in advance. Between May 31 and June 23, 2017 the campaign reached nearly 80% of its target audience in four weeks and delivered a +12-point lift in ad recall, +10-point lift in message association and +4-point lift in brand favourability.
