A Facebook Case Study
Current Meditation, a meditation studio in the Arcadia neighborhood of Phoenix, wanted to drive more sign-ups for its free trial class and determine whether Facebook ads should be optimized for clicks or for conversions.
They ran two identical campaigns—one optimized for website clicks and one for conversions—targeting local 25–60-year-olds (plus a Custom Audience of recent site visitors) and using the Facebook pixel to track actions. Over a three-week test the conversion-optimized ads generated five times more memberships and 2.6 times more leads than the click-optimized ads.
