Custom socks sales with Facebook conversion ads

PupSocks, an Atlanta-based retailer that sells custom photo socks and ties featuring customers’ pets to buyers in 39 countries, faced the challenge of maximizing sales during the critical 2017 holiday gifting season by finding new customers who love animals or would buy pet-themed gifts.

Working with Common Thread Collective, PupSocks ran a Facebook and Instagram conversion campaign using precise targeting (age, relationship status, mobile users), lookalike audiences based on past purchasers, video ads, and the Facebook pixel for remarketing. The November 9–December 31, 2017 promotion drove more than 90% of the company’s annual revenue, generated 80,000 purchases, achieved a 3.7x return on ad spend, and helped create over 100 jobs across three states.
